The Morning After by Stella M. Turk MBE

Awe-filled to awful
'Twinkle, twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are'.
Heavenly bodies, once gazed upon with awe,
Are now candidates for future space war.
When Earth was struck by a meteorite
Dinosaurs were in extinction plight
Now shooting stars are shot from Earth
Hoping they’ll give it a very wide berth.
